About Neal:Neal D’Alessio was born in the Boro Park section of Brooklyn and is proud to have graduated from this city's schools. He attended PS 160, Shallow Junior High School, FDR high School and Brooklyn College. He later earned his MBA in corporate finance from Pace University's downtown campus. Neal is a first generation American, born of immigrant parents who realized early on that a good education need not be expensive but would be vital to be a productive contributor to society. Neal showed his leadership ability early on at FDR high school when he was elected school president and varsity team captain for wrestling. He graduated in the top 3% of his class and went on to study education at Brooklyn College, where he continued to exhibit his leadership abilities by being the only first year athlete to be a varsity team captain. More recently, Neal serves on the Executive Committee of the Metropolitan Republican Club where he continues to lead by bringing attention to the needs of the club. He has spearheaded two major initiatives: the networking group and the informational programs ranging from health coverage to an analysis of the government bail outs. Neal's career has lead him to build and sell two successful mortgage banks as well as a title company. He now owns and operates a title company and real estate school specializing in residential real estate. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Hunter College and NYU School of Continuing Education teaching courses in real estate related courses. His 3 children- Gaetano 21, Teresa 20 and Nikki 17 are excited to support him in his race for City Council. Neal's personal experiences and strong foundation in finance is exactly what is needed to bring this city out of the financial crises. "You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity . . . . What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving . . . . The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else . . . .. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation . . . .You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." * Adrian Rogers, 1931 – 2005 * |
